This film was shot at Lowender Peran Celtic Music Festival in Perranporth Cornwall October 2008.
Lowender Peran is the largest global clan gathering and Festival of the Celts, featuring Celtic Music, Dance, Poetry and Cultural events from Brittany, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales, held annually in Perranporth Cornwall.
The film features Lord Edward’s Own Pipe Band, which was founded in Narraghmore, Co. Kildare, Ireland, just over 90 years ago. The Irish pipe and drum band competes in Ireland and Scotland and has participated in music festivals and other cultural events throughout Europe.
Success in competitions in recent years has seen the band rise steadily through the grades until its promotion to Grade 2 at the end of the 2002 season, when it was crowned Scottish and Ulster Champions, as well as taking prizes at the British and World Championships.
